November 17 (SeeNews) - Turkey's industrial production went up 8.9% year-on-year in September after growing by an annual 13.8% in the previous month, the national statistical office said.
At a sub-sectoral level, industrial output in September rose by 7.9% in the mining and quarrying industry, by 9.7% in the manufacturing industry, and by 1% in electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning production and distribution, TurkStat said in a statement last week.
On a monthly comparison basis, Turkey's industrial production decreased by 1.5% in September, TurkStat said.
Industrial output in the mining and quarrying sector added 2.2% month-on-month in September and fell by 1% in manufacturing and by 3.2% in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning production and distribution.
