April 14 (SeeNews) - Turkey's industrial production increased by 13.3% year-on-year in February after it grew by an annual 7.6% in the first month of 2022, the national statistical office said.
At a sectoral level, industrial output grew in February by an annual 4.9% in electricity, gas, steam, air conditioning production and distribution, by 14.4% in manufacturing, and by 6.1% in the mining and quarrying sector, TurkStat said in a statement earlier this week.
On a monthly comparison basis, Turkey's industrial production added 4.4% in the second month of this year.
Industrial output in the mining and quarrying sector fell 3% month-on-month in February. It edged up by 0.1% and grew 5.1% in the electricity, gas, steam, air conditioning production and distribution sector and the manufacturing sector, respectively.
