March 31 (SeeNews) - Turkish defence systems manufacturer Havelsan has acquired a 25% stake in local Ulak Communications as part of a partnership aimed at working on new generation communications, local media reported.
Under the partnership, Havelsan will lead a cluster of groups that will work on new generation communication technology, including the provision of a 5G network, Sabah Daily reported on Monday.

The Havelsan-lead Communication Technologies Cluster, which consists of up to 15 companies, has also been invited to develop software-based products and to coordinate the work of other companies, Havelsan general manager Ahmet Hamdi Atalay said, as quoted by the daily.
Havelsan, established in 1982, provides smart solutions and develops systems for domestic and foreign military, public and private sector.
