December 5 (SeeNews) - Turkish energy company Enerjisa sees its revenue rising to between 6.5 billion and 7.0 billion Turkish lira ($3.2-$3.4 billion/2.3-2.5 billion euro) this year, local media reported.
The company's 2013 revenue will be backed by contributions from its recently acquired power utility units Ayedas and Toroslar, daily Aksam quoted the head of energy group Sabanci Holding [BIST:SAHOL], Selahattin Hakman, as saying on Wednesday.
Enerjisa, which is 50/50 owned by Sabanci Holding and Germany's E.ON, posted total revenues worth 4.5 billion lira in 2012.
Enerjisa is the largest independent power producer in Turkey with an installed capacity of 2,330 megawatts (MW). The company also has 1,300 MW of power plants under construction and 1,300 MW of power projects undergoing technical engineering studies in its pipeline, which are planned to start operations in the end of 2016 or the beginning of 2017, Hakman said.
He added that Enerjisa plans to invest some 3 billion euro ($4 billion) to raise its total power generation capacity to 7,500 MW by 2020.
