December 30 (SeeNews) - Turkey’s economic confidence index increased to 97.6 points in December from 94.7 points in the same month of last year, the country's statistical office said on Thursday.
On a monthly comparison basis, the economic confidence index fell by 1.8% in December, TurkStat said in a statement.
The month-on-month decline stemmed from decreases in consumer, manufacturing, services, retail trade and construction sector confidence indices.
The construction sector confidence index decreased the most, by 3.9% month-on-month in December, to 90.0 points. The consumer confidence index lost 3.1% to 68.9 points.
In December, the manufacturing confidence index decreased by 1.7% on a monthly comparison basis, to 110.1 points.
The services sector confidence index fell 0.5% month-on-month to 118.8 points in December, while the retail trade confidence index lost 0.4% to 121.5 points.
