October 4 (SeeNews) - Turkey's domestic industrial producer prices increased by 43.96% year-on-year in September, the country's statistical office said on Monday.
On a monthly comparison basis, the domestic market industrial producer price index (D-PPI) rose 1.55% in September, TurkStat said in a statement.
D-PPI went up 50.10% on the year in the electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning sector. The index rose by an annual 28.39% in the mining and stone quarrying sector, by 43.68% in manufacturing, and by 30.15% in the water supply sector.
In the main industrial groups, the D-PPI increased by 51.62% year-on-year for intermediate goods, by 29.25% for durable consumer goods, by 30.48% for non-durable consumer goods, by 26.33% for capital goods, and by 62.38% for energy.
By industry subdivisions, the sharpest annual increases in the domestic market PPI in September were registered in coke and refined petroleum products, by 102.01%, in basic metals - by 91.73% and in wood and cork products (excluding furniture) - by 68.53%.
The lowest annual increases were observed in clothing, of 9.81%, leather and related products with 11.16%, and other manufactured goods with 12.04%.
