January 23 (SeeNews) - Turkey's consumer confidence index improved slightly by 0.1 percentage points month-on-month in January and was 0.6 points higher on the year, the country's statistical office said.
The index was 58.82 points in January, compared with 58.77 points in December, TurkStat said in a press release on Thursday.
The index tracking financial situation expectations in the next 12 months improved month-on-month in January, rising by 2.3 percentage points.
The general economic situation expectation index increased by 1.1 percentage points.
The number of people unemployed expectation index in the next 12-month period fell by 0.5% in January compared with December.
The probability of saving index in the next 12 months period dropped 9.1% in the same month.
