March 23 (SeeNews) - Turkey's consumer confidence index rose 1.7 percentage points month-on-month in March and was 1.2 points lower on the year, the country's statistical office said on Monday.
The index reached 58.2 points in March, compared with 57.3 points in February, TurkStat said in a press release.
The index tracking financial situation expectations in the next 12 months increased by 2.3 percentage points month-on-month in March.
The general economic situation expectation index decreased by 0.5 percentage points.
The number of people unemployed expectation index in the next 12-month period rose by 7.2 points month-on-month in March.
The probability of saving index in the next 12 months period dropped 5.8 percentage points in the same month.
