June 10 (SeeNews) - Turkey's Aksa Elektrik Toptan Satis, a unit of Kazanci Holding, has received permission to export power to Iraq using a state-owned power transmission line, another unit of the holding company said on Monday.
Turkey's energy regulator EPDK gave Aksa Elektrik clearance to export to Iraq up to 1.0 billion kilowatt hours (kWh) annually, generated from up to 150 megawatt capacity, through a 154-kilovolt power transmission line owned by the Turkish Electricity Transmission Company, Aksa Enerji Uretim [BIST:AKSEN] said in a statement on Borsa Istanbul.
Local daily Hurriyet reported on Monday, quoting EPDK's head Hasan Koktas, that the regulator gave Aksa Enerji and another local company, Kartet, the green light to export up to 2.0 billion kWh per year to Iraq to the Mosul region in Iraq.
