December 5 (SeeNews) - Turkish conglomerate Akfen Holding's [BIST:AKFEN] energy unit Akfen Enerji Holding has acquired a 50% stake in local power producer Adana Ipekyolu Enerji for 50.6 million Turkish lira ($24.7 million/18.1 million euro), Akfen Holding said.
Akfen Enerji acquired the stake by taking part in a capital increase of Adana Ipekyolu Enerji, the company said in a bourse filing on Wednesday.

Adana Ipekyolu Enerji has submitted a licence application for the construction of a 600-megawatt thermal power plant in the southern province of Adana, Akfen Holding added.
