October 13 (SeeNews) - Turkey manufactured 854,227 motor vehicles in the first nine months of 2020, compared to 1.06 million in the same period of last year, data from the country's Automotive Manufacturers Association (OSD) shows.
The data encompasses the production of passenger cars, commercial vehicles and tractors.
The production of passenger cars fell to 575,761 units in January-September, from 700,581 in the corresponding period of last year.
Turkey's motor vehicle exports fell to 616,120 units in the period under review, from 913,772 in first nine months of 2019. Export income decreased to $17.4 billion (14.7 billion euro) from $23 billion.
In September alone, Turkey manufactured 142,129 motor vehicles, compared with 136,236 produced in September 2019.
