November 5 (SeeNews) - Passenger cars sales in Turkey increased 18.03% on the year to 499,339 vehicles in the ten months through October, the Turkish Automotive Distributors' Association (ODD) said on Tuesday.
Total automotive sales volume rose 9.09% year-on-year to 644,359 vehicles in the first ten months of the year as sales of light commercial vehicles declined 13.47% to 145,020, the association said in a statement.
In October alone automotive sales volume in Turkey fell 3.21% year-on-year to 58,014 vehicles as car sales rose 8.16% to 46,985 units and sales of light commercial vehicles decreased 33.15% to 11,029.
ODD expects full-year automotive sales volume in the country to reach 830,000-870,000 vehicles in 2013 and 800,000-860,000 in 2014.
