LJUBLJANA (Slovenia), January 14 (SeeNews) – The benchmark index of the Ljubljana Stock Exchange (LJSE) fell on Tuesday, as insurer Zavarovalnica Triglav [LJE:ZVTG] recorded the sharpest losses among Slovenia's blue-chip companies, bourse data showed.
Triglav's shares closed 1.11% lower at 35.6 euro.
Chemicals producer Cinkarna Celje [LJE:CICG] posted the biggest gains among the blue chips, erasing losses it suffered in the previous session.
Cinkarna Celje’s shares closed 1.05% higher at 193.0 euro. The company company's shares ended Monday's session 0.26% lower at 191.0 euro.
The blue-chip SBITOP index, which tracks the most liquid and capitalised stocks on the LJSE, ended Tuesday's session 0.59% lower at 974.32 points.
Pharmaceuticals producer Krka [LJE:KRKG] generated over half of LJSE's trading turnover on Tuesday – 661,910 euro. The bourse's total turnover fell to 1.25 million euro ($1.4 million) from 2.72 million euro on Monday.
