August 17 (SeeNews) - Trade in share of Bulgarian Stock Exchange [BUL:BSO] generated nearly 43% of the total regulated market turnover on the Sofia bourse on Friday, as the blue-chip SOFIX index closed unchanged at 633.62 points, bourse data shows.
The Sofia bourse operator's shares closed 1.64% lower at 6.0 levs in a trading turnover of 601,794 levs ($351,000/307,690 euro) on Friday.
Total trading turnover on the stock exchange's regulated market increased to 1.4 million levs on Friday from 802,676 levs on Thursday.
Industrial group Holding Varna [BUL:5V2] gained most among blue chips, rising 2.20% to 37.2 levs. A total of 3,275 shares in Holding Varna changed hands in two deals during the trading session.
Bulgarian Real Estate Fund REIT (BREF) [BUL:5BU] posted the second highest increase among blue chips, adding 2.09% to 1.95 levs.
On the losing side, resort operator Albena [BUL:6AB] posted the largest drop among blue chips, closing 1.82% lower at 54.0 levs.
Diversified group Chimimport [BUL:6C4] was the most traded blue chip, as 177,555 shares in the company changed hands, generating a turnover of 388,544 levs. Chimimport shares lost 1.39% to a closing price of 2.13 levs.
The wider BGBX40 index, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the Sofia bourse, fell 0.23% to 122.51 points on Friday.
The rise in share price of Holding Varna and BREF was offset by a 6.25% drop in local tobacco group Bulgartabac Holding's shares.
Bulgartabac Holding shares closed at 13.5 levs following a single deal for 10 shares.
The BGREIT index, which tracks the performance of real estate investment trusts, gained 0.52% to 116.47 points, supported by the rise in BREF's share price.
The only other BGREIT component, which saw a change in its share price on Friday, was Advance Terrafund [BUL:6A6], which ended the session 0.49% higher at 2.06 levs.
The BG TotalReturn30 index, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight, fell 0.09% to 525.46 points.
