February 27 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria's National Railway Infrastructure Company (NRIC) has awarded a 11.76 million levs ($6.35 million/6.01 million euro) railway reconstruction contract to a consortium led by local civil engineering company Trace Group Hold [BUL:T57], the group said.
The project envisages the restoration of the design parameters of the railway at the station in Pliska, in Northeastern Bulgaria, Trace Group said in a statement.
The consortium comprising Trace Group and Bulgarian construction firm Obonato Build, will carry out works on a section of the line 1,150 metres in length. The term of the contract is 216 calendar days from the start of works.
Trace Group said in January its standalone net profit rose to 5.05 million levs ($2.8 million/2.6 million euro) in 2022 from 2.3 million levs in 2021, as revenue from construction contracts roughly doubled.
As of CET 0955 on Monday, shares in Trace Group traded flat at 3.80 levs on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange.
