SOFIA (Bulgaria), February 21 (SeeNews) – Construction company Trace Group Hold [BUL:T57] led the blue-chip gainers on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) on Tuesday after announcing it had won a major contract, bourse data showed.
The company said earlier on Tuesday it signed a 95.1 million lev ($51.2 million/48.6 million euro) deal for the construction of a 1.5-kilometre section of the third line of Sofia's underground railway network.
Trace Group Hold's shares closed 3.92% higher at 4.635 levs as 425 units changed hands.
Shares of power tools manufacturer Sparky Eltos [BUL:SL9] rose 19.25% to 0.477 levs as the company announced on Tuesday it intends to raise its capital to 50.2 million levs from 16.7 million levs.
Total stock trading turnover edged up to 1.1 million levs on Tuesday, from 1 million levs on Monday.
The blue-chip SOFIX index rose 0.37% to 610.51 points, after increasing by 1.89% on Monday.
The broader BGBX40 index, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the BSE, increased by 0.34% to 119.42 points, after closing 1.78% higher on Monday.
The BG-REIT index, which tracks the performance of the real estate investment trusts, fell 0.10% to 108.20 points. The index closed 0.41% higher on Monday.
The BG TotalReturn30 index, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight, closed 0.19% higher at 484.28 points, after adding 1.38% on Monday.
Diversified conglomerate Industrial Holding Bulgaria [BUL:4ID] led the blue-chip decliners on Tuesday, closing 1.96% lower at 1.0 lev in a volume of 375 shares.
Central Cooperative Bank [BUL:4CF] was the most traded blue-chip on Tuesday as 73,752 of its shares changed hands at an average price of 1.581 levs.
