BELGRADE (Serbia), April 22 (SeeNews) – Total foreign remittances to Serbia increased by 12.2% year-on-year to 506 million euro ($607.8 million) in the first two months of 2021, central bank data shows.
In February alone, total foreign remittances to Serbia, including all current transfers between resident and non-resident households, rose by 6.4% on the year to 215 million euro, according to figures published by the central bank in a balance of payments report.
The remittances of citizens working abroad went down by 9.6% year-on-year in the first two months of 2021 to 352 million euro, the data showed.
The flow of foreign remittances into Serbia decreased to 3.12 billion euro in 2020 from 3.52 billion euro in 2019.
