January 3 (SeeNews) - Norwegian telecommunications group Telenor said on Wednesday its 4G network already covers 93.6% of Serbia's population and 67% of the country's territory and it plans to keep expanding the rate of coverage in 2018.
Telenor is advancing towards meeting its objective of having a 4G coverage at all places where it already offers a 2G connection in Serbia, the CEO of Telenor Serbia, Ingeborg Ofsthus, said in a statement.
"Between 60% and 70% of our customers are daily on the Internet. The use of mobile Internet is doubling year by year and with this trend, we will have five times more data flow through our network in five years," Ofsthus said in the statement.
In May, Telenor said it had started operating a 4G+ network in seven towns in Serbia, providing up to two and a half times faster Internet and improved quality signal to its customers.
