March 8 (SeeNews) - State-owned Telekom Srbija plans to issue a corporate bond worth 500 million euro ($527.1 million) on the stock exchange in Luxembourg or Frankfurt in September, CEO Vladimir Lucic said.
“Since the market is stabilising, this year we will carry out the plan that we had last year to issue a corporate bond,” Lucic said, as seen in a video published on its website of TV channel Bloomberg Adria on Tuesday.
“The corporate bond will be issued despite interest rates being slightly higher than they were two years ago, when they were extremely low,” Lucic added.
Telekom Srbija planned to issue the bond last year but decided not to go ahead with its plans due to the uncertainty caused by the crisis in Ukraine.
Telekom Srbija recorded a profit of 13.1 billion dinars in 2021, backed by a substantial rise in revenue.
Telekom Srbija provides a range of services to over 11 million users through its units in Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, North Macedonia and Austria.
