BELGRADE (Serbia), July 5 (SeeNews) – State-controlled Telekom Srbija has completed the acquisition of local cable operator Telemark Systems, it said on Friday.
The transaction will allow Telekom Srbija to increase its user base, as well as to provide faster Internet and a better TV offer to the customers of Telemark, the company said in an e-mailed statement.

Financial details were not disclosed.
Telekom Srbija applied for approval to acquire Telemark in December, the anti-trust body said back then.
Telekom Srbija continues to implement its strategy of expanding and adapting to new market trends, with the aim of becoming a regional leader in all telecommunications services and digital development leader, it said in the statement.
Telemark has about 25,000 TV and Internet users in Cacak, Kraljevo, Gornji Milanovac, Pozega, Lucani, Guca, Mionici, Ljig, Banja Vrujci, Mataruska Banja and Kosjeric.
