LJUBLJANA (Slovenia), May 10 (SeeNews) – Telekom Slovenije [LJE:TLSG] said its consolidated net profit increased 4% year-on-year to 10.1 million euro ($11.3 million) in the first quarter of 2019.
Telekom Slovenije Group's consolidated net sales revenue fell 6% on the year to 172 million euro through March, while operating revenues totalled 172.8 million euro, the telco said in a filing to the Ljubljana Stock Exchange late on Thursday.
“The results are not directly comparable, since the 2019 figures do not include the revenue from Blicnet, which was sold in 2018,” the company noted.
The group’s consolidated earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortisation (EBITDA) expanded 8% to 56.5 million euro.
Investment in the first three months of 2019 totalled 27.7 million euro, up from 23.4 million euro a year earlier.
The Telekom Slovenije Group employed 3,441 as at March 31, down from 3,530 compared to end-2018.
In February, Telekom Slovenije said it has concluded the sale of its 100% stake in its Bosnian unit Blicnet to Bosnian company Telekomunikacije Republike Srpske.
