LJUBLJANA (Slovenia), October 25 (SeeNews) – Slovenia's biggest telecommunications operator Telekom Slovenije [LJE:TLSG] said on Thursday its consolidated net profit fell 22% on the year to 23.5 million euro ($26.8 million) in the first nine months of 2018.
The group's consolidated earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortisation (EBITDA) dropped 0.9% on the year to 153 million euro in the January-September period, while net sales revenue edged down 0.7% to 538.1 million euro, Telekom Slovenije said in a filing with the Ljubljana bourse.
The telco's operating revenue decreased 0.8% on the year to 542.2 million euro.
In the review period, the number of Telekom Slovenije's mobile users increased by 2.5% on the year to 1,855,457, while the number of users of fixed voice telephony services edged down 0.4% to 553,816.
In the first nine months of the year, Telekom Slovenije Group invested a total of 79.4 million euro in the upgrade of its fibre optics networks and the mobile network.
The Telekom Slovenije group employed 3,564 as at September 30, down 3% compared to last year.
