LJUBLJANA (Slovenia), December 4 (SeeNews) – Telekom Slovenije [LJE:TLSG] said it has become the sole owner of Antenna TV SL, after acquiring a 34% stake previosuly held by Antenna Slovenia B.V.
"After complying with the decision of the Court of Arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) in the arbitration procedure no. 23310/MHM between Telekom Slovenije, d.d., and Antenna Slovenia B.V. of 31 October 2019, the transfer of 34% share in Antenna TV SL, televizijska dejavnost, d.o.o., (shortened: Antenna TV SL, d.o.o.), owned by Antenna Slovenia B.V., to Telekom Slovenije, d.d., was entered into the Slovenian Business Register on 3 December 2019," Telekom Slovenije said in a filing with the Ljubljana bourse on Tuesday.
Telekom Slovenije has also changed the company name from Antenna TV SL to Planet TV, televizijska dejavnost, d.o.o. and recalled the director Petra Sustersic, it added.
ICC earlier ruled that Telekom Slovenije should pay 17.6 million euro ($19.48 million) with default interest and costs of an arbitration procedure between the telco and European media investment company Antenna Group. The procedure aimed to determine the purchase fee amount in exercising the put option by Antenna Group for the sale of a 34% share in Antenna TV SL to Telekom Slovenije.
In 2016, Telekom Slovenije became the holder of 66% of the participating interests in Antenna TV SL.
