November 21 (SeeNews) - Telekom Slovenije Group said on Friday it plans to invest up to 107 million euro ($133.7 million) in 2015.
Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortisation (EBITDA) are projected at 198 million euro in 2015, the telco said in a business plan for 2015-2019 filed with the Ljubljana Stock Exchange.
Comparable EBITDA will increase next year, when taking into account the changes of status related to the merger of Telekom Slovenije’s Macedonian unit, ONE, and Telekom Austria’s Macedonian subsidiary Vip Operator, and the sale of its 50% stake in Gibtelecom.
Telekom Slovenije said on Thursday it expects consolidated net profit to rise to 63 million euro in 2014 from 52.3 million euro a year ago. The group plans EBITDA of up to 212 million euro in 2014 and CAPEX of up to 170 million euro.
The group will also aim to become the first alternative provider of integrated telecommunications services in the markets of Macedonia, Bosnia and Kosovo, the statement added.
In Slovenia, its goal is to maintain the position of the leading integrated communications service provider through cross-sell of services, development of new services and subscription models, by differentiation and exclusive contents offer and by providing standardized cloud services.
In June 2013, the Slovenian parliament endorsed government plans to sell state-owned stakes in 15 companies, including Telekom Slovenije.
The pre-selection phase for the sale of a 72.75% stake in Telekom Slovenije that served to confirm technical eligibility was followed this summer by the launch of a second phase, involving a narrower group of candidates that had submitted non-binding bids. The sell-off process was then placed on hold immediately prior to the snap vote that Slovenia held on July 13. However, Slovenia's government investment firm SDH said in October it will continue with the privatisation of incumbent telco Telekom Slovenije in the aftermath of the clear support for the sale process shown by the country's new government.
