December 1 (SeeNews) - Airport operator TAV Macedonia, the North Macedonia-based unit of Turkey's TAV Airports Holding, said on Thursday it is working on introducing direct flights to Spain.
Several travel agencies from Spain were hosted by TAV Macedonia and local tour operator Balkan Prime Tours in North Macedonia to learn more about the nation and its potential as a new travel destination for Spanish visitors, TAV Macedonia said in a press release.
The airport operator revealed that many travellers have requested direct flights from Skopje to Barcelona, Madrid and other attractive locations in Spain.
Passenger numbers at North Macedonia’s international airports in Skopje and Ohrid operated by TAV reached 2,031,562 in the first ten months through October, up 78% compared with the same period of last year.
