October 11 (SeeNews) - British-based Tate & Lyle, a global provider of food and beverage ingredients and solutions, said on Monday it is expanding its successful partnership with Belgium-based distributor Azelis into three new countries in Southeast Europe (SEE) - Greece, Bulgaria and North Macedonia, from early 2022.
The strengthening of the partnership is to allow Tate & Lyle’s customers in those countries to benefit from Azelis’ extensive capabilities in solution selling, application and technical services, as well as market knowledge and supply chain excellence, Tate & Lyle said in a press release.
Tate & Lyle already has a strong relationship with Azelis and is pleased to be building on that with the new agreements, set to enhance Tate & Lyle's go-to-market capabilities and further develop their representation in those markets, Tate & Lyle's Channel Sales Director for Europe Waldo van Malssen said.
He added that his company is confident the partnership will help enhance the relationship Tate & Lyle already has with its customers and enable the firm to continue delivering the bespoke solutions they require through Tate & Lyle's innovative plant-based ingredient solutions, including sweeteners, texturants and dietary fibres.
Tate & Lyle currently has about 4,400 employees working in more than 60 locations across 30 countries. In the year to 31 March 2021, its sales totalled 2.8 billion British pounds ($3.8 billion/3.3 billion euro).
Within SEE, the company is currently active in Croatia, with its sales team in Koprivnica, in the northern part of the country, responsible for serving customers in Croatia and the Balkan region.
