March 20 (SeeNews) - Switzerland's Palemontech has officially opened a 6 million levs ($3.3 million/3.07 million euro) factory for metal pallet boxes and grid boxes in the city of Montana, northwestern Bulgaria, the economy ministry in Sofia said.
The factory, which spreads on an area of 5,600 sq m, will open around 100 jobs, the ministry said in a statement on Saturday.
In February 2016, Palemontech said it has started the construction of the production plant as part of the company's strategy of expanding its presence across Europe.
Palemontech, which is specialized in the manufacturing of metal pallet boxes and grid boxes, is a supplier of Swiss logistics company Max Urech Lager-und Fordertechnik.
Palemontech is fully-owned owned by Andre Urech, according to the Bulgarian commercial registry data.
