June 15 (SeeNews) - Sweden-based green tech company CargePanel AB said on Wednesday it has signed an agreement with Romanian e-mobility products seller Smart Balance to develop a local electric vehicle (EV) charging stations network.
Under the agreement, Smart Balance will use ChargePanel's SaaS platform to enable the expansion and management of charging networks for electric vehicles in Romania, with plans to expand to other European countries, ChargePanel said in a press release.
"It is very fun and exciting to start a collaboration with Smart Balance, which is an ambitious and energetic company based in Bucharest, with plans to operate in other countries. This is completely in line with our own ambitions to grow internationally together with our customers," ChargePanel CEO Jan Berggren said.
Smart Balance has been active in the electric vehicle industry since 2019 in Romania and has ambitions to expand to Hungary, Belgium, France and Germany. Within three years, the company plans to be able to offer at least 2,000 charging points, helped by its partnership with ChargePanel.
"In addition to making it easier for us and enabling efficient operations, ChargePanel's platform will give us the best conditions to expand in accordance with our own ambitions and strategies," Smart Balance managing director Eduard Anghel said.
Headquartered in Stockholm, ChargePanel was founded in 2009 and offers e-Mobility B2B solutions. The company is listed on Nasdaq First North Growth Market.
