July 26 (SeeNews) - Strong investment interest towards shopping centres in Bulgaria with new deals and change of ownership is expected to be seen after the first half of the year, according to real estate consultants Colliers International.
Supply of shopping centre retail space in Bulgaria stood at 791,761 sq m in the first six months of 2017, unchanged from the year-ago period, Colliers said in a sector overview. Supply is expected to remain unchanged in the course of the second half of 2017 as well.
Net retail space absorption recorded an increase of 11%, reaching 16,321 sq m in the first half of the year.
Supermarkets, food chains and fashion houses were the top retail businesses in terms of new openings in the first half of 2017.
