May 11 (SeeNews) - State-controlled Telekom Slovenije [LJE:TLSG] said it has received a counter proposal to increase its dividend payout from its distributable profit for 2017 to 14.30 euro ($17.0) per share from the planned 6.30 euro per share.
The proposal to distribute as dividend 93 million euro instead of 40.98 million euro was submitted by Slovenia's state holding company SDH as owner of a 4.3% stake in Telekom Slovenije, and the state of Slovenia with a 62.5% stake, the telco said in a Ljubljana bourse filing on Thursday.
The remaining 22.3 million euro of Telekom Slovenije's distributable profit is proposed to be allocated to retained earnings.
