August 23 (SeeNews) - Industrial group Stara Planina Hold [BUL:5SR] was the top blue-chip gainer on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) on Wednesday, bourse data showed.
Stara Planina Hold shares closed 3.54% higher at 8.64 levs ($5.21/4.42 euro) in a trading volume of 220 units.
Total trading turnover on the Sofia bourse fell to 435,100 levs on Wednesday from 1.4 million levs on Tuesday.
Industrial group Chimimport [BUL:6C4] was the most traded blue chip on Wednesday, as 41,982 of the company’s shares changed hands at an average price of 1.948 levs.
The blue-chip SOFIX index rose 0.47% to 723.02 points, after depreciating 0.14% on Tuesday.
The broader BGBX40 index, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the BSE, increased 0.41% to 137.69 points, after dropping by 0.11% on Tuesday.
The BG-REIT index, which tracks the performance of real estate investment trusts, decreased 0.38% to 117.22 points on Wednesday. On Tuesday, the index closed 0.34% higher.
The BG TotalReturn30 index, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight, added 0.19% to 565.22 points, after falling 0.34% on Tuesday.
Bulgarian Real Estate Fund (BREF) [BUL:5BU] fell the most among blue chips on Wednesday, closing 0.79% lower at 2.381 levs.
