January 8 (SeeNews) - The director of state-owned gas monopoly Srbijagas, Dusan Bajatovic, said that there will be no gas price hikes this year.
"If there are no major fluctuations in the [US] dollar exchange rate, there will be changes in gas prices [this year]. The gas tariff will not go up, but will also not be significantly cheaper," Bajatovic said in a video file posted on Thursday on the website of state-run news agency Tanjug.
Bajatovic added that he does not expect the US dollar exchange rate to budge much despite the changes on the financial market.
According to the Srbijagas head the gas tariff is not expected to change much in the first half of next year also.
