November 28 (SeeNews) - Serbian state-owned rolling stock maintenance company Srbija Voz is inviting tenders to expand and upgrade the Zemun passenger train station, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has said.
Srbija Voz intends to use the proceeds of a loan from the EBRD to finance the project valued at 47 million euro ($55.9 million), according to a notice posted on the bank's website.
The contract is expected to start on June 28, 2018, and last about 20 months, the EBRD said.
The winning contractor will be in charge of the rehabilitation works on the maintenance hall for Electrical Multiple Unit (EMU) trains, the depot for passenger coaches, the halls for external washing, facilities for acceptance and dispatching of trains, measuring stations for diagnostics of rolling stock, boiler rooms with compressor station, pump stations with carport, facility for temporary storage of waste, dormitory facilities and fences around the complex.
