December 10 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian sports goods retailer Sport Depot opened its largest store in the country, it said on Friday.
The Sport Depot Mega Store in Sofia spreads on four floors with over 3,000 square metres of commercial area, Sport Depot said in a press release.
"Mega Store is a key investment for our chain and entirely represents our concept to be leader on the sports goods market," Nikolay Tsonov, Sport Depot's CEO, said without disclosing the value of the investment.
Sport Depot noted that the new store has been built according to the newest retail design concept of its franchisor, Germany-based Sport 2000 International, that will soon be introduced all around Europe.
Sport Depot offers more than 150 international brands of sports and leisure items. It operates over 30 stores in Bulgaria, Greece, Serbia and Romania. It has been a franchisee of Sport 2000 International since 2009.
In 2019, Sport Depot's revenue amounted to 75.5 million levs ($43.7 million/38.6 million euro), its annual financial statement for that year showed.
