SOFIA (Bulgaria), February 27 (SeeNews) – Bulgarian drug maker Sopharma [BUL:3JR] was the top blue-chip gainer on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange on Monday, bourse data showed.
Sopharma shares closed 2.96% higher at 3.480 levs on Monday as 84 shares changed hands.
Total stock trading turnover fell to 291,000 levs ($157,681/148,770 euro) on Monday, from 3.65 million levs on Friday.
The blue-chip SOFIX index added 0.84% to 612.48 points, after increasing by 0.13% on Friday.
The broader BGBX40 index, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the BSE, increased by 0.50% to 120.04 points, after closing 0.38% higher on Friday.
The BG-REIT index, which tracks the performance of the real estate investment trusts, edged up by 0.07% to 107.54 points. The index closed 0.23% lower on Friday.
The BG TotalReturn30 index, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight, closed 0.55% higher at 482.72 points, after falling 0.38% on Friday.
Central Cooperative Bank [BUL:4CF] led the blue-chip decliners falling by 2.41% to 1.541 levs as 1,000 shares changed hands.
Industrial conglomerate Chimimport [BUL:6C4] generated the largest turnover on the BSE as 6,211 of the company shares changed hands in an average price of 1.628 levs.
