May 26 (SeeNews) - The Bulgarian Stock Exchange blue-chip SOFIX index closed higher on Tuesday, marking it third consecutive winning session, as its biggest member by market capitalisation - drug maker Sopharma [BUL:3JR], gained 1.71%.
The SOFIX, which tracks 15 stocks, rose 0.30% to 451.56 points on Tuesday.
Other major gainers included lender Central Cooperative Bank (CCB) [BUL:4CF] and diversified group Industrial Holding Bulgaria (IHB) [BUL:4ID], which added 0.95% and 0.64%, respectively.
The wider BGBX40 index, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the Sofia bourse, increased 0.19% to 96.19 points, while the BGTR30 index, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight, edged up 0.06% to 465.92 points.
Both indices were supported by a 2.5% rise in the share price of construction company Trace Group Hold [BUL:T57], while the BGBX40 was also supported by a 5.51% increase in the share price of fertiliser producer Neochim [BUL:3NB].
The BGREIT index, which tracks seven real estate investment trusts, closed unchanged at 133.43 points.
Total regulated market trading turnover amounted to some 128,000 levs ($72,000/65,000 euro) on Tuesday.
