December 28 (SeeNews) - Soybean processing company Sojaprotein [BEL:SJPT] led the blue-chip gainers' list on the Belgrade Stock Exchange on Thursday, as share indices ended mixed, bourse data showed.
Sojaprotein gained 4.42% and closed at 449 dinars. A total of 1,989 of the company's shares changed hands, generating a turnover of 890,758 dinars.
Oil and gas company NIS [BEL:NIIS] generated the highest turnover of 5.3 million dinars among the blue chips, as 7,589 of its shares changed hands. NIS lost 0.99% and closed at 702 dinars.
The blue-chip BELEX15 index, which tracks the most liquid shares on the Belgrade bourse, fell 0.24% to 749.62 points on Thursday. On Wednesday, the index increased 1.45%.
The broader BELEXline, a free‐float market capitalisation weighted index, went up 0.43% on Thursday and closed at 1,647.28 points, after going up 0.25% on Wednesday.
Belgrade airport operator Aerodrom Nikola Tesla [BEL:AERO] paced the blue-chip decliners on Thursday, as it lost 2.67% and closed at 1,460 dinars. Investors traded seven shares of the company, generating a turnover of 10,166 dinars.
The total stock trading turnover on the bourse decreased to 17.5 million dinars ($176,546/147,776 euro) on Thursday from 19.6 million dinars on Wednesday, as 221 share transactions were carried out. Trading on the multilateral trading facility (MTP) of the bourse came in at 167,951 dinars.
Trading in Treasury bonds contributed 70.6 million dinars to the total turnover 87.5 million dinars on the stock exchange.
