September 25 (SeeNews) - The blue-chip SOFIX index of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange ended its three-day losing streak, after gaining a slim 0.01% on Tuesday, as two new companies entered the index's composition as of the start of the trading session, bourse data shows.
Hydraulic equipment manufacturer M+S Hydraulic [BUL:5MH] and financial leasing company Elana Agrocredit [BUL:0EA] replaced diversified groups Industrial Holding Bulgaria (IHB) [BUL:4ID] and Doverie United Holding [BUL:5DOV] in the composition of SOFIX on Tuesday.
As a result of the rebalancing, exchange-traded fund Expat Bulgaria SOFIX UCITS ETF [BUL:BGX], which tracks the SOFIX via direct physical replication, will have to divest its stake in IHB and Doverie United Holding, and purchase stakes in M+S Hydraulic and Elana Agrocredit. Expat Bulgaria SOFIX UCITS ETF is managed by Sofia-based Expat Asset Management.
Elana Agrocredit formed 26% of the regulated market turnover on Tuesday, as 90,500 shares in the company changed hands in nine deals, generating a turnover of 108,580 levs. The company's shares ended the session 1.67% lower at 1.18 levs.
However, total regulated market turnover fell sharply to 417,550 levs ($251,470/213,490 euro) on Tuesday, from 2.56 million levs on Friday. The BSE did not operate on Monday due to a national holiday.
Central Cooperative Bank [BUL:4CF] led blue-chip gainers on Tuesday, adding 2.65% to 1.745 levs, while resort operator Albena registered the sharpest decline among SOFIX components, falling 2.0% to 49 levs.
The wider BGBX40 index, which saw four new entrants during Tuesday's rebalancing, ended the session 0.14% to 121.91 points. SOFIX drop-offs Doverie United Holding and IHB gained most among BGBX40 components - 6.05% and 0.93%, respectively.
Sofia Commerce-Pawn Brokerage [BUL:6SOA], Bulgarian River Shipping [BUL:5BR], Elhim Iskra [BUL:52E], Lavena [BUL:4L4] and Tchaikapharma High Quality Medicines [BUL:7TH] entered the index on Tuesday.
The BG-REIT index, which tracks the performance of real estate investment trusts (REITs), gained 0.30% to 117.39 points as Advance Terrafund REIT [BUL:6A6] and Bulgarian Real Estate Fund REIT [BUL:5BU] rose 0.99% and 0.51%, respectively.
The BGTR30 index, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight, rose 0.25% to 520.46 points.
Sv. Sv. Konstantine and Elena Holding [BUL:3NJ], Synthetica [BUL:EHN], Hydraulic Elements and Systems [BUL:4HE] and Agria Group Holding [BUL:A72] became part of the BGTR30 index on Tuesday.
