January 20 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian Stock Exchange indices closed Monday's trading session on a high note, with the BGREIT index setting yet another all-time high.
The BGREIT index, which tracks real estate investment trusts, gained 0.07% to 134.54 points on Monday. A 1.89% rise in the share price of Bulgarian Real Estate Fund REIT [BUL:5BU] was partially offset by a 1.57% decrease in Advance Terrafund REIT [BUL:6A6] shares.
This is the BGREIT's 11th record-high close set so far this year.
The blue-chip SOFIX index advanced 0.97% to 585.73 points, largely due to a 9.62% rise in the share price of lender First Investment Bank (Fibank) [BUL:5F4], which earlier on Monday announced it has generated a net profit of 130 million levs in 2019, according to preliminary figures. The announced profit is lower compared to 2018 due to high expenses for provisions, but Fibank's banking revenue and assets grew steadily, the lender said.
Fibank also led gainers among the two other BSE indices.
The wider BGBX40 index, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the Sofia bourse, gained 0.64% to 114.75 points, while the BGTR30 index, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight, increased 0.34% to 526.50 points.
Total daily regulated market turnover amounted to some 493,000 levs.
