April 8 (SeeNews) - The Bulgarian Stock Exchange blue-chip SOFIX index closed 0.50% higher at 435.55 points on Wednesday, marking its fifth consecutive winning session, bourse data shows.
Diversified group Chimimport [BUL:6C4] gained most among blue chips on Wednesday - 2.86%. Another group - Holding Varna [BUL:5V2], and car battery maker Monbat [BUL:5MB] followed with rises of 2.11% and 2.0%, respectively.

The wider BGBX40 index, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the Sofia bourse, increased 0.39% to 92.12 points, while the BGTR30 index, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight, added 0.49% to 448.08 points.
The BGREIT index, which tracks real estate investment trusts, rose 0.23% to 127.16 points.
Total regulated market trading turnover amounted to 1 million levs on Wednesday.
