May 20 (SeeNews) - Most Bulgarian Stock Exchange indices closed lower on Wednesday, as diversified group Doverie United Holding [BUL:5DOV] led blue-chip decliners after releasing its first-quarter financial report earlier in the day.
Doverie United Holding's share price decreased 3.62% to 3.46 levs on Wednesday. The company announced earlier on Wednesday that its net profit fell to 2 million levs in the first quarter from 6.7 million levs in the same period of 2019, despite a sizable rise in revenue.
The blue-chip SOFIX index, which tracks 15 stocks, closed the trading session 0.42% lower at 449.45 points. Other major decliners among its members included financial leasing company Elana Agrocredit [BUL:0EA] and drug maker Sopharma [BUL:3JR], which lost 2.78% and 1.02%, respectively.
The wider BGBX40 index, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the Sofia bourse, fell 0.48% to 95.57 points, while the BGTR30 index, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight, erased 0.50% to 464.14 points.
The BGREIT index, which tracks seven real estate investment trusts, added 0.33% to 133.87 points.
Total regulated market trading turnover amounted to some 564,000 levs ($317,000/288,000 euro).
