October 28 (SeeNews) - The Bulgarian Stock Exchange blue-chip SOFIX index closed 0.22% lower on Monday, hit by a 2.58% decrease in the share price of diversified group Holding Varna [BUL:5V2].
Bulgarian Real Estate Fund REIT [BUL:5BU] and car battery maker Monbat [BUL:5MB] were the other major decliners among blue chips on Monday, losing 0.97% and 0.79%, respectively.

Holding Varna was also the top decliner among members of the wider BGBX40 index and the equally-weighted BGTR30 index.
The BGBX40 index, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the Sofia bourse, fell 0.35% to 109.69 points, while the BGTR30 index, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight, dipped 0.21% to 497.79 points.
The BGREIT index, which tracks the performance of real estate investment trusts, erased 0.29% to 127.61 points.
Total regulated market trading turnover dropped to 230,000 levs ($130,000/118,000 euro) on Monday from 638,000 levs in the previous trading session.
