October 13 (SeeNews) - Sofia municipality said that it has signed a one-year electricity supply contract worth 4.5 million levs ($2.7 million/2.3 million euro) with power supplier CEZ Electro Bulgaria [BUL:CEZE].
Under the terms of the contract, CEZ Electro Bulgaria will be responsible for the delivery of medium and high-voltage power for the needs of four units of the municipal waste treatment plant located in the village of Yana, east of Sofia, the contracting authority said in a notice on Tuesday.
Sofia municipality invited CEZ Electro, which is operating in Sofia Region as well as western and northern regions of the country, to submit an offer without opening a public procurement procedure.
CEZ Electro is majority-owned by Dutch-based Eastern European Electric Company B.V., which is part of Sofia-based financial and energy group Eurohold Bulgaria [BUL:EUBG].
