April 22 (SeeNews) - The municipally-owned heating utility of Bulgaria's capital Sofia said that it opened two tenders worth a combined 11.3 million levs ($6.9 million/5.8 million euro) for the provision of management and consultancy services in relation to a project for the construction of a combined heat and power (CHP) plant.
Both tenders benefit from EU financing under EU's operational programme Environment 2014-2020, Toplofikatsiya Sofia said in each of the two separate tender notices published on the website of the public procurement agency earlier this week.
The higher-priced tender, worth some 8 million levs, envisages consulting services and construction supervision, while the other assignment, worth an estimated 3.3 million levs, concerns project management.
In both tenders the deadline for submitting offers is May 31. Technical criteria will carry 70% weight in the overall ranking of the bids in the higher-priced tender and 60% in the lower-priced tender.
In January, Toplofikatsiya Sofia launched an EU-funded tender for a 292.2 million levs contract for the construction of a CHP plant in the capital. The construction of the CHP plant will utilise refuse-derived fuel (RDF) as part of Sofia's waste management strategy.
