May 17 (SeeNews) - The Bulgarian Stock Exchange BGREIT index, which tracks real estate investment trusts, hit an all-time high of 121.79 points on Friday, backed by a 7.18% rise in the share price of Advance Terrafund REIT [BUL:6A6].
The BGREIT gained 0.83%, or 1 point, on Friday, exceeding its previous all-time high of 121.26 points, set on April 10.
The rise in Advance Terrafund shares was partially offset by Aktiv Properties REIT [BUL:5AX], which was the biggest decliner on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange on Friday, dropping 5.41% to 7.0 levs.
Aktiv Properties REIT is also a member of the wider BGBX40 index and the equally-weighted BGTR30 index.
The BGBX40 index, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the stock exchange in Sofia, edged up 0.08% to 113.76 points, as the drop in Aktiv Properties REIT's share price was offset by the solid gains of Agria Group Holding [BUL:A72], Holding Sveta Sofia [BUL:4HS] and Advance Terrafund REIT.
Agria Group Holding gained 8.57% on Friday, while Holding Sveta Sofia added 7.91%.
The BGTR30 index, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight, lost 0.07% to 498.36 points, as only 3 of its 30 constituents saw a rise in their share price on Friday - Holding Sveta Sofia, Advance Terrafund REIT and Stara Planina Hold [BUL:5SR], which added 1.72%.
The SOFIX index, which tracks the BSE's 15 blue chips, edged down 0.04% to 568.87 points, as Advance Terrafund REIT and Stara Planina Hold were the sole gainers among SOFIX members on Friday.
Software group Sirma Group Holding [BUL:SKK] and diversified group Chimimport [BUL:6C4] led blue-chip decliners, dropping 4.73% and 2.54%, respectively.
Total regulated market trading turnover rose to 359,000 levs ($205,000/184,000 euro) on Friday from 112,000 levs on Thursday.
