January 31 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian pawnshop chain operator Sofia Commerce-Pawn Brokerage [BUL:SCOM] said that its non-consolidated net profit jumped to 3 million levs ($1.67 million /1.53 million euro) last year from 1.9 million levs in 2021.
The company’s revenue climbed by 28% to 7.7 million levs in annual terms in 2022, Sofia Commerce-Pawn Brokerage said in an interim financial statement on Monday.
At the same time, operating expenses rose to 4.4 million levs from 3.9 million levs, mostly due to higher salary costs.
Sofia Commerce-Pawn Brokerage operates a chain of over 100 pawnshops in Bulgaria. In July, the company said that it will set up a subsidiary in North Macedonia named Makkom Cash Skopje.
As of 1110 CET on Tuesday, shares in Sofia Commerce-Pawn Brokerage traded 1.33% lower at 2.96 levs on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange.
