January 7 (SeeNews) - The share indices of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) closed mixed on Friday, with the blue-chip SOFIX index edging up by 0.03% to 647.18 points, mainly due to a 5.56% rise in Central Cooperative Bank (CCB) [BUL:CCB], bourse data showed.
As many as 116,477 CCB shares traded at an average price of 1.0877 levs on Friday, BSE data showed.
The BGBX40 index, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the Sofia bourse, edged down 0.05% to 144.97 points, while the BGTR30 index, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight, lost 0.02% to 688.90 points. Both indices were dragged down by a 2.74% drop in the shares of power grid operator CEZ Distribution Bulgaria [BUL:CEZD] and a 2.73% decline in financial leasing company Elana Agrocredit [BUL:EAC].
The BGREIT index, which tracks seven real estate investment trusts, closed 0.41% lower at 161.01 points due to a 1.95% decrease in the share price of Bulgarian Real Estate Fund REIT [BUL:BREF].
Total turnover on the BSE's main market rose to 759,900 levs ($440,700/388,500 euro) from 373,122 levs on Thursday.
The most traded company on Friday was Bulgarian Stock Exchange AD, the operator of the Sofia bourse. A total of 32,257 BSE shares traded 1.65% higher at an average price of 9.0328 levs, contributing some 291,400 levs of the turnover for the day.
