March 8 (SeeNews) - All four main indices of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) closed in green territory on Wednesday, with the blue-chip SOFIX rising the most, by 0.76% to 631.96 points.
The index was pushed up by drugmaker Sopharma [BUL:FSA], which gained 2.86% to 5.40 levs with 18,369 shares traded. Additionally, fertiliser producer Neochim [BUL:NEOH] climbed by 2.50% to 41.00 levs.
The two companies also supported the BGBX40 index, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the Sofia bourse, and the BGTR30 index, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight. BGBX40 was further backed by express delivery company Speedy [BUL:SPDY], which rose by 2.78% to 111.00 levs. Overall, the index increased by 0.47% to 143.45 points. Meanwhile, BGTR30 ended 0.10% higher at 736.84.
Finally, the BGREIT index, which tracks seven real estate investment trusts, climbed by 0.44% to 188.44 points. It was mainly supported by Bulgarian Real Estate Fund [BUL:BREF], which advanced by 1.87% to 2.18 levs.
Total turnover on the main market of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange grew to 601,239 levs ($601,239/307,408 euro) on Wednesday from 361,913 levs a day earlier.
Doverie United Holding [BUL:DUH] was the most traded stock for a second consecutive day, generating a turnover of 200,990 levs. The stock closed 0.50% lower at 7.96 levs with 25 250 shares traded.
