May 4 (SeeNews) - Three of the four main indices of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) closed higher on Thursday, with the blue-chip SOFIX rising 0.31% to 613.72 points on the back of gains at energy and insurance group Eurohold Bulgaria [BUL:EUBG] and fertiliser producer Neochim [BUL:NEOH], bourse data showed.
Shares in Eurohold advanced by 3.76% to 1.38 levs, whereas Neochim added 3.31% to 37.40 levs.
The two companies also boosted the wider BGBX40, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the Sofia bourse, and the BGTR30, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight. The two indices were additionally pushed upwards by a 2.68% climb in farming group Agria Group Holding [BUL:AGH] to 23.00 levs.
Overall, the BGBX40 grew 0.21% to 140.55 points and the BGTR30 went up by 0.16% to 722.55 points.
The BGREIT index, which tracks seven real estate investment trusts, was the only one to close lower on Thursday, shedding 0.31% to 188.47 points. It was dragged down by a 1.45% fall at Advance Terrafund REIT [BUL:ATER] to 3.40 levs.
Total turnover on the main market of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange jumped to 3.86 million levs ($2.18 million/1.97 million euro) on Thursday from 3.1 million levs on Wednesday.
The top stock by turnover was diversified group Rodna Zemya Holding [BUL:HRZ], which generated some 1.8 million levs from 610,150 shares traded. The company's shares closed flat at 2.94 levs.
