June 1 (SeeNews) - There were no decliners among the four main indices of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) on Thursday, as the blue-chip SOFIX continued its strong performance with a 0.82% rise to 672.12 points, bourse data showed.
Drug maker Sopharma [BUL:SFA] paced the SOFIX gainers, closing 3.39% higher at 6.10 levs after announcing that it will explore potential acquisitions in Serbia.
Sopharma also contributed the most to the daily turnover on the main market, generating roughly half of it or 671,287 levs ($368,986/343,223 euro) from 110,047 shares traded. The company's subsidiary, pharmaceutical supplier Sopharma Trading [BUL:SFT], was the second most traded stock, generating 325,495 levs as 52,926 shares changed hands. Sopharma Trading added 2.50% to 6.15 levs.
SOFIX was also bolstered by a 3.03% increase in Doverie United Holding [BUL:DUH] to 8.84 levs.
By contrast, Holding Varna [BUL:HVAR] was the top losing stock among the blue-chips, down 1.83% to 43.00 levs.
The BGBX40, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the Sofia bourse, went up 0.75% to 148.82 points, spurred on by a 12.66% jump in Bulgarian River Shipping [BUL:BRP] to 0.89 levs.
Diversified group Stara Planina Hold [BUL:SPH], which advanced 3.83% to 9.50 levs, helped push up both the BGBX40 and the BGTR30, in which companies with a free float of 10% and more have equal weight.
The BGTR30 notched a more modest gain of 0.33% to 752.61 points, constrained by a 2.78% drop in Eleven Capital [BUL:11C] to 21.00 levs.
The BGREIT index, which tracks seven real estate investment trusts, stayed flat, at 190.18 points.
Total turnover on the BSE swelled to some 1.4 million levs on Thursday.
